A rare opportunity for the retired employees to be covered under Mediclaim policy without medical examination!

The Group Mediclaim Policy from the New India Assurance Co,. has now been extended by the Corporation to the Retired employees (Retired after 1.1.1988) and their spouse and children who have not been covered so far .The retired employees group includes apart from pensioners, those who have not opted for pension scheme also. This benefit has been given as a one time option for all groups including the retired employees, their spouse and dependent children of the deceased employees (whether in-service or retired).
The following conditions shall apply:
1. The option for coverage is one-time only
2. For retired employees the entire premium shall be paid in lump sum before 30/04/2006 and there shall be no Corporation’s share of premium.
3. No medical report is required.
4. The income limit for purpose of coverage of mediclaim of dependent (Children, Parents, Parents in-law) has been raised from Rs. 1500 p.m to Rs. 2550 p.m. The age of the children should not exceed 21 or if more than age 21, they are prosecuting whole-time studies in a recognized educational institution and have not completed 25 years of age.

It is a golden opportunity available to the employees of the Corporation both for in-service and retired to be covered under mediclaim without under going medical examination.

An Appeal to the employees of the Corporation!

In order to make this benefit available to the maximum number of retired employees who are not covered under our Pension scheme, and their eligible family members, a wide publicity is required to be given. The employees are therefore requested to disseminate this information to the maximum number of retired employees with whom they are in day to day contact or whose whereabouts are known to them.
